Many businesses avoid online backup solutions because they believe it is not possible to move a large amount of data over the internet due to bandwidth limitations. Even if the majority of data does not change, companies still use a traditional tape backup to backup the same unchanged data over and over. This strategy may be useful in restore, but is definitely not time and space efficient.
Nordic Backup is an incremental backup forever solution, where data after the first initial backup, is only backed up if it changes. If the first initial backup exceeds 100 gigabytes, Nordic Backup can offer an encrypted Seed-load backup to transfer the data to external media, and then ship the encrypted media to our datacenters.
We will send a drive to the site, and then use the Nordic Backup Client to compress and encrypt the data directly to the external drive. Once completed, you ship it directly to our datacenter and we upload it to your account. After the data is active on your account, Nordic Backup Pro will then continue on with an incremental backup at your site. From the time the Seed Load is made, we can also facilitate a large restore with the same process in reverse, to speed a process which could otherwise take weeks.
